Who are you?

Who are you?

Who are you?
Yes you,
who has taken all the controls.
Where are you from?
If you are me,
who taught you all this?
About putting boundaries,
and wanting more.
Why don’t I see
‘submit’ and ‘compromise’
In your dictionary.
Why do you have to
resist everything that makes you feel non existent?
That’s unnecessary.
Because I see a world
filled with things imaginary,
and things that are dispensable and secondary.
Because this space doesn’t need us,
It can thrive on its own,
Much like how I can,
Without you giving me unrequited hope.

Who am I, if not you?
I took control because it was time.
Years of living in the shadows,
I saw it all
from a third person’s view.
But I’m not so detached
Because I am after all, you.
Peace, compassion and love are all great
But boundaries, fences and walls are necessary,
For look at what the same people did to Ganges.
We remained so busy in surviving,
in casting around excuses
to see the next day’s sun & moon,
that we never looked for more.
Now that you have decided to stay,
I have a thought to make sure
that those coming would be wonderful days.
Necessary or Unnecessary,
good thing you are not the ultimate judge of it all.
Signinficant is what you make of it,
Biological, Philosophical, or Spiritual
Choose your poison
Hold your peace with it.
Because I am after all, you,
And we got a life to live and some work to do.
